Coach’s Message to our Older Athletes
Athletes, I want you to know something that matters more than any skill or trophy: every time you walk into this gym, little eyes are watching you.
At competitions, those tiny cheerleaders and gymnasts don’t just see the routine — they see their dream. They look at you and think, “One day, I want to be her. I want to be on her team. I want to shine like that.” And because of you, they go home and work harder. You are their reason to believe that dream is possible.
That’s why your example is so powerful. The younger ones notice everything. They notice how you treat your teammates, how you listen to your coaches, how you respond when something doesn’t go right. They notice your smiles, your kindness, your leadership. And yes, they even notice what you share online.
You may not realize it, but you are shaping the future of Liberty. With one high-five, one word of encouragement, one small moment of kindness, you can light up a little athlete’s world. To them, you are not just a cheerleader or gymnast — you are proof that hard work and heart can turn into something beautiful.
So carry yourself with pride. Work hard, stay kind, and remember that greatness isn’t just about the skills you master — it’s about the lives you touch along the way. One day, those little athletes will take the floor in your place, and the legacy you leave behind will live on in them.
And that is the most powerful gift you can give.
